We had an unforgettable time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year with an incredible community event in downtown Fuquay Varina! On Saturday, March 15th, Smith Farm Goat Sanctuary partnered with our wonderful friends at Fainting Goat Brewing Company to host a festive fundraiser that was full of heart, laughter, and plenty of goat kisses.

This wasn’t just any St. Patty’s Day celebration—it was a double fundraiser supporting both the Smith Farm Goat Sanctuary and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which funds lifesaving childhood cancer research. And thanks to your support, we were able to make a real impact!

🐐 The Famous Goat Kissing Booth

Our Famous Goat Kissing Booth made a shamrockin’ return—decked out in green and gold for the holiday! The stars of the booth—Mishka, Otis, Rico, and Jonny—were dressed in their finest leprechaun gear and ready to share the love. Visitors stepped into our magically decorated booth for a chance to snuggle, smooch, and snap photos with these festive little charmers.

We had an amazing turnout with 101 goat kissers joining in the fun! Because of all your love and smooches, we were able to donate $300 to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation—50% of all kissing booth proceeds!

🌿 The Wild Goat Trading Post

Alongside all the festivities, we also set up our Wild Goat Trading Post, where visitors could browse and purchase handcrafted goods made by our President, Jesi Wilde. Some of the many items on the table included our:

✨ Vanilla-Infused Creamed Honey

✨ Fig, Thyme, and Honey Infused Balsamic Vinegar

✨ Mediterranean Herb Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Every product is created with care and 100% of proceeds go directly to supporting the goats and operations here at the sanctuary. We’re so grateful for your purchases and continued support!

🌟 What’s Coming Next?

We’re just one month away from something big—Smith Farm Goat Sanctuary is opening to the public in May 2025! While we won’t be open daily due to our one-lane driveway and cozy wooded setting, we will be offering exciting ticketed events, private tours, event hosting, and more!

Already available to book on our website:

  • GoataYoga: Stretch and smile with goats!

  • Take a Better Selfie: Learn tips and tricks to snap the perfect pic with our photogenic herd.

Check out all the upcoming events, book tours, or plan a private event at: www.smithfarmgoatsanctuary.org

We had such a blast spreading joy this St. Patrick’s Day and are so proud to have shared it with both our wonderful community and a cause as meaningful as St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Thank you to Fainting Goat Brewing Company, our amazing volunteers, all the goat kissers, and everyone who stopped by to shop, smooch, or smile.

Get ready, because there’s so much more goat fun coming your way very soon!

With gratitude and goat love,

The Smith Farm Goat Sanctuary Herd 🐐🌈
