Jesi Wilde

Founder & President
​
Jesi is a retired Air Force officer who relocated to Fuquay Varina in 2023. With a lifelong passion for helping animals, she has volunteered at various sanctuaries and shelters throughout her military career. Now, she's excited to turn her dream of helping animals full-time into a reality! However, not quite there yet, so for the being, she dedicates her free time to supporting the sanctuary in every way possible and making a difference. She visits the goats daily and is known as the "Ice Cream Lady" because they all come running to see what treats she has for them today!
Amy Cummings

Amy is a dedicated real estate appraiser and one of Jason's best friends for over 20 years! Although she lives in Greensboro, she is an animal lover at heart, lending a hand at events and on the sanctuary whenever she can. Amy is not only a kind soul but also a great asset to our board!
Moreen Watson

Executive Officer
​
Moreen is also a retired Air Force Veteran and photographer who has lived in Apex, NC for the past ten years. She and Jesi originally met at the White House Communications Agency while on Active Duty and reconnected through social media. Now that Jesi and Moreen are neighbors, their friendship has blossomed once again! Moreen is the mom of two sweet teenagers and two adorable kitty cats, so she definitely has a full plate! However, she and her kids love visiting the farm and volunteering at our events. It's been a wonderful partnership in support of the goats and the goats love the treats they always bring them!
James Sprague

James hails from Long Island, but has called North Carolina home for most of his life. A proud dad of two sweet daughters, by day he runs the Concrete Division for a local development company. He met Jesi in 2022 and convinced her to move to Fuquay Varina in 2023. Since then, he's been instrumental in bringing her sanctuary vision to life, whether it's helping on the farm or at events—those goats sure know when he's around!
Jason Thomas

Jason is a fun-loving animal enthusiast from Apex, NC! With over 20 years of experience caring for the beloved Smith Farm goats, he's their favorite human and the go-to guy for mending fences and ensuring their daily needs are met. When he’s not tending to the herd, Jason works as a real estate appraiser and enjoys spending time with his three kids and three grandkids. We’re lucky to have such a knowledgeable and dedicated person at the sanctuary to guide us in goat care!
